There were very high fan expectations with this album release "Raymond vs Raymond" by the recently divorced Usher.The album has 15 songs with featured other artists T.I., Will.i.am,Ludacris & Nicki Minaj.Notable solid tracks include "Pro Lover","Makin' Love (Into The Night)", "Hey Daddy (Daddy's Home)", "Mars vs Venus" (title of my review) & my most favourite song of the bunch "Foolin' Around".Divorce has certainly affected him quite badly,hence the album is very personal at least lyrically (he sings regarding cheating, too many girls in the world,three sides to a relationship failure story,etc). The overrall assessment of this album is just above average with gems highlighted above, earning 3,5 stars that approximate 4 stars!Hopefully he would have recovered well from the pain of his divorce in the next album release.

The quartet of singers, the New York Vocal Arts Ensemble, render these popular songs from the turn of the century with grace, style, and sweet voices. Both albums are great and anything from him and tony tone toni are amazing but I really feel this one a little bit more than instant vintage. It's definitely a funky positive sound.

Usher steps out of the box for this one with cuts like "OMG" and "Little Freak" while still keeping it vintage Usher with cuts like "here comes my baby" and "daddy's home." I think this is a great album, definitely worth having.
