Once published here only three studio albums in a career that had at this point a decade Erykah Badu decided their energies on a series of conceptual albums that would come his music consistantly do a good focus, keeping. This is the first volume of the series. Always mindful not only of their love and respect not only true for music, but the spirit of jazz-funk Erykah here follows his muse in every possible way they can. With the exception of the intro"Amerykahn Promise" and "The Cell", the music here is usually Shys away from the uptempo funk, and while not prove a point. Not only is functional by nature a bit 'slower music, but often it is considered that such a large number of slow burning groove will bring more attention to the text. Of course, should also be noted that the two uptempo songs here have been driving the message of the concept album. This was published in a time when there is great uncertainty inCountry and the world in general and the economics of the time were very poor from the impact was intense music industry Erykah, but clumsy, which may have been for them. The overall message of this music has to do with the facts as he saw them: that a whole society of people who want to improve their living conditions in the '60s and '70s, she found for one reason or another, that the generation after they had forgotten that pledge and / or have been neglected and even moreimportant that no one seemed to be respected. Here are the stories of people is still only device in the same ghetto syndromes of poverty and lack of knowledge that has been so became aware in the past was stirred so that this album is more like a 70's flavor to what you think. The album has these charred There's a Riot Goin 'On-Sly was feeling, only difference is there are a lot of the effects of hip-hop in the mix. "Honey", the bonus cut here is the only song that Iis actually more than a single piece of music, what ends up as another very album-oriented project. The album certainly packs more punch single oral, relating to the texts, as it does musically, but it's a nice flow slow-burning acid-jazz funk, the whole anyway. Honestly ...... the album sounds much more exciting than it sounds at the end due to the fact that all the voice, and also how powerful the song seems a few minor personal adviceThe resignation by Badu. But fortunately for us, this is by far not the end of the chapter in this moment of musical career of Erykah Badu.

I think this album is excellent...IS THIS HIS BEST, no...he has moRe to come, but this album is just as good. i think it's for more of a mature vibe, keeping it with the audience of today. i think this album as with any artist is dealing with the time of an artist life and the whole album signifies that, I think if you don't get it you will rate low, because Ummm--->you don't get it..Usher can't throw out the same kind-of album every-time, if anything this album shows his growth and as a fan I WELCOME THAT. Most of his songs have the same vibes as the other albums he's done in the past, this is just another CHAPTER.

Love in This Club: Excellent, nice steady beat with a vibe that you can snap your finger to...Love the video to.

This Ain't Sex: This groove made me think of "Bad Girls" from Confessions...good vibe.

Trading Places: A nice flow to the album as well, very Usher...mid-tempo-slow, mellow with nice hooks.

Moving Mountains: Nice n slow with...a mellow far away beat.

What's Your Name: With artist: "Will I am"...a nice head moving beat, nice hooks.

Prayer For You Interlude--shows a grown side to Usher, a little melody...a soft and tender flow.

Something Special: I love this, this is a throw back...and a classic, with meaningful hooks and a snappy tune. We used to call these songs the 'B' sides back n the day, and funny enough when music was real..its was always the classic...on the record.

Love You Gently: A soft, nice sexy mellow tune, for the ladies, shows his adulthood and growth.

Best Thing featuring Jay Z: It's a mellow beat with some up tempo tones, pretty good, shows the diversity of the album.

Before I Met You: Another one of those songs, that is pretty mellow with up tone beats.

His Mistakes: Shows a softer side of Usher, with some up tempo beats.

Appetite: Up tempo, nice hooks as well....goes with the line-up of the album.

What's A Man To Do: Another song I like allot: has up tempo beats with an Arabic-kind-of mid-tempo in the back, it really sound's Siberian...the flow of the song sounds good while driving in your car.

Lifetime: Another song I really like: Mid-tempo, flowing beat, the words are memorable and the flow of the beats meshes well with the album.

Love In This Club Part II featuring Beyoncé & Lil Wayne: Like the original...I hate Beyonce, this is the one song I skip. My advice listen to the original.

Here I Stand: Love this song, A memorable song we can enjoy for years to come. This shows his versatility of singing a classic and songs that are for the moment..THIS IS A CLASSIC.

Besides, having 'nasty Beyonce' on his album, I enjoyed the album. If I get rated for saying that and get Beyonce Lovers to comment...SO WHAT, WE ALL DON'T LIKE BEYONCE, get oVeR it.

Over all, this album to me was great!!! If For the Amazon, before you are listed in the music, please buy the idea. ~ "Negative evaluation.
