As one who is not a major follower of Mr. Raymond, I was pleasantly surprised as to how much I enjoy this album. Having heard some of the hits on the radio, including the monster smash "Papers," I found the rest of the album to be equally as listenable.

The Atlanta native has crafted an album in which he reveals a maturity that is appealing to fans of "old school" while maintaining enough of the contemporary sound to keep his younger fan base.

Those who have complained about the album's "edits" will sway those "number one fans" who have not yet purchased the album. For the "uninitiated" and middling fans, like myself, however, I recommend the album from a young man who has many years of success ahead of him if he continues to release albums, representing a cross-section of musical interests.

I think this album is excellent...IS THIS HIS BEST, no...he has moRe to come, but this album is just as good. i think it's for more of a mature vibe, keeping it with the audience of today. i think this album as with any artist is dealing with the time of an artist life and the whole album signifies that, I think if you don't get it you will rate low, because Ummm--->you don't get it..Usher can't throw out the same kind-of album every-time, if anything this album shows his growth and as a fan I WELCOME THAT. Most of his songs have the same vibes as the other albums he's done in the past, this is just another CHAPTER.

Love in This Club: Excellent, nice steady beat with a vibe that you can snap your finger to...Love the video to.

This Ain't Sex: This groove made me think of "Bad Girls" from Confessions...good vibe.

Trading Places: A nice flow to the album as well, very Usher...mid-tempo-slow, mellow with nice hooks.

Moving Mountains: Nice n slow with...a mellow far away beat.

What's Your Name: With artist: "Will I am"...a nice head moving beat, nice hooks.

Prayer For You Interlude--shows a grown side to Usher, a little melody...a soft and tender flow.

Something Special: I love this, this is a throw back...and a classic, with meaningful hooks and a snappy tune. We used to call these songs the 'B' sides back n the day, and funny enough when music was real..its was always the classic...on the record.

Love You Gently: A soft, nice sexy mellow tune, for the ladies, shows his adulthood and growth.

Best Thing featuring Jay Z: It's a mellow beat with some up tempo tones, pretty good, shows the diversity of the album.

Before I Met You: Another one of those songs, that is pretty mellow with up tone beats.

His Mistakes: Shows a softer side of Usher, with some up tempo beats.

Appetite: Up tempo, nice hooks as well....goes with the line-up of the album.

What's A Man To Do: Another song I like allot: has up tempo beats with an Arabic-kind-of mid-tempo in the back, it really sound's Siberian...the flow of the song sounds good while driving in your car.

Lifetime: Another song I really like: Mid-tempo, flowing beat, the words are memorable and the flow of the beats meshes well with the album.

Love In This Club Part II featuring Beyoncé & Lil Wayne: Like the original...I hate Beyonce, this is the one song I skip. My advice listen to the original.

Here I Stand: Love this song, A memorable song we can enjoy for years to come. This shows his versatility of singing a classic and songs that are for the moment..THIS IS A CLASSIC.

Even though it has only been five months since the release of "Raymond V. Raymond," Usher has done the right thing by not resting on hits like "OMG," "Lil Freak" and "Hey Daddy (Daddy's Home")." Singing "I'll be knocking till you let me in" on the deluxe edition of "Raymond V Raymond," also titled "Versus" as a separate disc ("Stranger"), Usher comes hard with a nine new songs filled with at least seven previously unreleased songs and one of his strongest singles to date ("There Goes My Baby").

Seemingly obsessed with Hot & Cold throughout the effort, as he spends much time talking about keeping his love interest warm on a cold and lonely night ("When you're cold, I want to be the one that keeps you warm; I'm so cold that I need a hot tottie"), Usher kicks off the second disc (the first disc in the deluxe edition matches that of the original release) with what you could call `The Trinity' -- three songs that will make you want to pick up the new edition or at least think about it.

"Love Em All" leads with the newly single father of two declaring "Ladies Get In Line, I'm gonna take you back to school". Credited to Esther Dean and Prettyboifresh, among others, "Love Em All" is like Usher's official press release -- "I'm a free to get at every girl kind of guy". In case you didn't understand that, Usher breaks it down on "Love Em All," singing "lately I've been an oh I'm in love kind of guy, now I'm a single, beat it up kind of guy."

`Hot Tottie" is perhaps the defining track however. Following "Love Em All" and the equally club friendly "I'm single and ready to party" lead single "DJ Got Us Falling In Love (Polow Da Don), "Hot Tottie" features contributions from Esther Dean and Jay-Z, the latter adding lines like "Big ballin' is my hobby, so much they think I'm down with the Illuminati" -- "my watch do illuminate, my pockets are Gottie but, I'm God ya'll better ask somebody".

Picking up where he left off on "Love Em All" Usher goes beyond "I'm so cold, you're the hot tottie," singing "I'm a wild boy, you tryin' to tame me baby -- claiming you're a bad, show me baby" on "Hot Tottie." One of his best singles to date, comparable to the equally daring "Lil Freak" (feat. Nicki Minaj), Usher is at his best on the chorus singing "I'm like ooh kimosabe, your body is my hobby, we freakin', this ain't cheating, as long as we tell nobody. Tell your girls you leaving, I'll meet you in the lobby.. I`m so cold that I need a Hot Tottie".

Taking a break from the club, Usher slows it down on "Lay You Down." Produced by Rico Love, also behind "There Goes My Baby," "Lay You Down" is not Usher's best but nonetheless is a solid effort with him utilizing his falsetto singing "This ain't bump and grind, I'll show you what love is if you let me lay you down".

The remainder of the second disc includes previously released singles "Somebody To Love (Remix) with Justin Bieber and the June/July 2010 hit "There Goes My Baby". While Usher does a solid job on the last song, "Stranger," a song produced by Drumma Boy with words like "Sorry you put your trust in strangers and they let you down and I'll be knocking till you let me in -- I want the title of your closest friend, I no longer want to be a stranger," the other two songs "Lingerie" and "Get In My Car" can be bypassed unless you're a freak for sexy lingerie or interested in hearing a long rap from Bun B and Usher stating "there's too many women in here to waste all my time on you -- what you going to do?"

Overall, the deluxe edition is a solid effort worth a buy after the success of "Raymond Vs. Raymond" and its diverse singles, including "Lil Freak" and "Papers". Afterall, Usher seems to wrap up this successful era on with the new songs letting it be known "If you not going to finish, don't start no stuff" ("Get In My Car").

If you must download instead of picking up the deluxe edition, the stand outs are "Love Em All," "Hot Tottie,' "DJ Got Us Falling In Love," "Stranger" and "Lay You Down," that is if you've already downloaded or have "There Goes My Baby" on "Raymond V. Raymond".

Erykah Badu is known to have their feet firmly on the ground and head somewhere in another dimension. Although some of their songs make me scratch my head and ask, "What ....?!" I still enjoy most. The first installment of his series New Amerykah was the singer at his most aggressive and politically to take social issues such as crime downtown, poverty, racism, and congestion and how the soldier Hump. Return of the Ankh, the nextCrafts razor-sharp on the philosophy Badu, what is happening in the world for softer subjects like love and matters of the heart. Erykah was very open about his love for his previous albums, but dig deeper and can be potentially more vulnerable to this.

I'm better than you "back, how did you" if it can handle.The sample abused Eddie Kendricks "intimate friends fresh sound on this track. Instead of the front line, combined with the background of an understatement. Agitation is a short interlude inspired by Stevie Wonder and incense instrumental is a harp and some dreamy Heavenly uppers Badu.

Out My Mind, just in time Green Eyes Recalls Mama's Gun album. At first an "undercover over-lover/recovering recovered from a love I can not go," hestruggle with the pain of the end of a relationship often leads to love. By the end of the track, finds the strength to move and grow on pain. Not as good as green eyes, but I give credit for something new Erykah take the issue to brew, or copy the older material. Love. Sometimes it makes your heart burst of joy or tear to shreds by an attack, but we all feel at some point. One thing is certain, never interpreting Badu has a sweet taste.
